Mercury Rise

Steve has been part of the drum n bass scene in Ireland since the early '90s co-running 'the Chamber' radio show for 7 years dedicated to old skool, jungle and dnb on RADIO FRIENDLY. Steve held various residencies inc. SIR HENRYS, headlined FLUID & BASSCAPE gigs and has supported BETA 2, CALIBRE, A SIDES, ZERO TOLERANCE and ROHAN.

After moving to Ireland from NZ in 2003 and hooking up with Steve and DJ Torque (big respect), Mason spun on RADIO FRIENDLY and at 'The LOOKOUT' gigs. Mason continues to be part of 'Critical Systems Crew' the party production and promotion Crew started in 2000, consisting of live dub / reggae musicians and dnb djs.

Since returning to New Zealand MERCURY RISE have played alongside Vanadis and SBK, Urban Terror Unit DJs and Old skool wizard Zebede. Throughout 2006 MERCURY RISE concentrated on production and armed with an arsenal of new material are preparing to increase their dj profile in 2007.
